When to Say When

Any suggestion on when to take away Colt's bottle? He is 17 months old and gets a bottle of milk when he goes to sleep at night. We are moving him to a big boy bed in October. Should I make the bottle transition now? Any tips?

Have you tried Dinosaur Eggs? They are delicious! Tart on the outside, sweet on the inside! Kroger stocks them with the plums. Yummy!

MA is off her bottle now... I just give her a sippy cup with some milk in it before bed. She never really seemed to mind. Sometimes she drinks the milk, sometimes she doesn't!

William still had a nighttime bottle until 18 months. Ijust replaced it with a sippy with milk one night. He didn't drink much for a few nights, but then was fine! You will have to give me tips on moving to a big boy bed. William is still in his crib!

We dropped the bottle the day Karlee turned 18 months. She didn't seem to mind at all. She now gets her milk in a sippy cup and with her cereal every morning.

EC still gets a bottle of milk too. It seems to soothe her. Let me know how the transition goes!

The timing of losing the last nighttime bottle is totally personal preference (i think). However, I would not make two transitions at one time. Maybe wean from bottle and then later move to big bed or vice versa :)
Good luck.

Good luck friend. I'm pretty sure we're keeping Jack in his crib until he leaves for college....
