Wrap Up

I hope you all had a very merry Christmas! We visited Troy & Centre during the week but enjoyed being home for Christmas Eve & Day. Here are a few highlights from the tons of pictures I took.

Mom & Dad gave Wes a game called Doody Head (this shouldn't be a highlight from Christmas but I couldn't help it!)

You put on a "doody hat" and toss "doody" to stick on the other person's head. You can come up with all sorts of names for this game.

This was Annie Grace's first Christmas. She loved the bows and boxes more than most toys. Santa did leave her a riding toy and she was thrilled!

Santa left Colt a gun. Santa left Papooh a stuffed donkey. This turned into cowboys & indians.

It was so fun to have a white Christmas! After being inside all day, we bundled up and played chase.

Before church on Sunday morning Colt insisted that he & Wes go duck hunting. Wes, Papooh, Heath & Bub had gone duck hunting last week and Colt felt left out. He kept telling me that if he had a gun he could have gone with them. Wes & Colt didn't see any ducks but I think we have a future hunter!

What Really Happens

I kidnapped my mom's camera this morning. The lady doesn't save pictures to her computer and erase her memory card. She either buys a new memory card or erases one by one when your children are perfectly posed for a picture. Maybe Santa should buy Honey a new camera.

Casey and I agree that we really learn what happens on Honey and Papooh day when we kidnap the camera card.

In this picture, I think you can hear our conversation

"Lets dress all 6 grandchildren in Christmas pjs, have mom & dad hold them and stand in front of the animals." "Yeah, thats a great idea". With 3 adults jumping up & down, leftover halloween candy and 3 cameras going it seems we could have gotten a good picture.

Now for the two that don't get enough camera time

Don't be deceived, Annie Grace isn't walking. She stands and takes one step. Annie Grace or "Boo" as she has been nicknamed, is developing a fiesty little personality. She is finally eating real food, has 4 teeth and looks less like me everyday!

Look at this cutie

Jack or "Julio" as he has been nicknamed, looks like a little boy. He is precious with blond hair and blue eyes. He is serious and likes to watch the big kids play. I don't think he will walk, just run!

The Jolly Man Has Arrived

Do you watch the Macy's Parade on Thanksgiving? I find the commentators annoying and a little boring. I'm sure if I were in NYC with the 2.5 million people, I would love it. Just kidding.
I like a small town parade. The kind where people on floats are really waving at you, not just that fake wrist thing. The Wednesday after Thanksgiving is always the Opelika Christmas Parade. After helping coordinate this event for 3 years (and now sharing an office with those that coordinate), I have a strange sense of pride for the parade.

Keep Opelika Beautiful had a float and guess who my elves were

Tipi, Colt & Savannah

Soon after the picture was taken, I realized Colt was turning purple and his teeth were chattering. I'm laughing because I have a grip on both toddlers since they wanted to stand up.

Annie Grace stayed cozy with Honey on the sidewalk.

I'm convinced that Colt and Bug thought the people were there to see them. They didn't quite get the "float" thing (Bug thought we were going to the lake to sit on a float...). My calendar is full and my to do list is long! Its time for Christmas!
