Where to Hang the Purple Blobs

If you missed Corks & Canvas on Thursday night you missed a difficult painting! The purple blobs are suppose to be hyacinthas. The green lines on the bottom look more like jalapenos than leaves. We had a great time though. A shout out to Heather- she especially liked her painting after a big ole' bottle of wine!!!

BPA- Free??

Is anyone else completely confused about this whole BPA thing? We have tons of Avent bottles (and love them!) but I'm starting to read more about the dangers of BPA in baby bottles. I've searched for BPA free bottles at Wal-Mart & Target and BPA free bottles are: 1. terrible reviews 2. glass- ugh! 3. not avaliable at our local retailer. Any suggestions from you wise women out there?

Obviously, we haven't missed any meals. We went to the doctor yesterday and Colt weighs 15lbs, 3ozs! He is completely rolling over and didn't cry until his 4th shot yesterday!

Baby Dedication

Colt and Savannah were dedicated this Sunday. For us, this was special time to commit Colt to the Lord. Not just vowing to bring him to church every Sunday but really making Christ the center of our household. We all fail often and it's much easier said than done. But this dedication is a public way of asking for the church to be our encourager and our source of strength as we raise a child in the ways of the Lord.

After church we went to my parents house for lunch and good family time!

Happy Anniversary!!

Wow! It's been 3 years since we walked down the aisle. Or if you attended our wedding, it's been 3 years since the hottest day of 2005! I had wonderful intentions of posting a beautiful wedding picture but we had a sick little baby last night. So! I'm left posting the pictures I have saved on my work computer!
Wes is a great dad and an even better husband. Wes is the fun parent and will tell you he's the fun person in the relationship!! He picks up Colt from school everyday and has him for 2 hours until I get home! In relationships, I don't know how couples survive when Christ isn't the center of their marriage. To quote my brother "your marriage has experienced more in 3 years than most in a lifetime."
P.S. Colt is back to his happy self today! Wes is staying home & playing "Mr. Mom".

Where I Want to Be!

After a quick shopping trip to Montgomery on Saturday, we went to the lake to relax. Addie enjoys Seadoo trips, we just have to make sure she doesn't spot a duck. Waverly cares little for the Seadoo but enjoys guarding our dock. I hate I erased the pictures of my dad riding the Seadoo without a lifejacket. He rode past Stillwaters and didn't realize he didn't have one until he got back to the cabin! Wes asked him what he would have done if "the law had pulled him over". Dad said he would outrun them!! If you know my dad, you know it's probably true!

Wes took this picture today and I love it! Thanks to cousin Savannah, Colt has learned to "motorboat". This is especially gross when his mouth is full of food! Today he ripped off his bib and smeared it across his face. I'm gonna have my hands full!

Yummy Prunes!

Yummy, Prunes! For obvious reasons, we decided to give Colt prunes today. This was his first experience with the spoon and baby food- he loved it!

Flowers, Face-Lift, Fish Fry, Friends & Funny Sleeper

I just have to show you how beautiful my gladiolus, begonias and sweet potato vine are! We even have an easter lilly popping up between the begonias. We have this ugly wall in our backyard so we decided to make it a huge flowerbed and it's my favorite part of my house. In the spring, we filled it full of tulip bulbs!

After 5 coats of stain, I finally finished my corner cabinet! I'm so proud of the outcome! Now if I can just remember to get the rest of my wedding china from my parent's house!

Saturday night we had a fish fry for Wes' 30th birthday! His official b'day is 4th of July so we decided to celebrate a little early. No, we didn't bust into the Old Crowe. It's magically disappeared!

Don't you wonder what they are thinking?

My favorite picture of the week.

You can tell from the blanket position that Colt pivots in his sleep. Colt is still sleeping through the nights and wakes up so happy! He is also thrilled that his good buddy, Jack is in his class at school!
