Just an update...
My cameras are in a box. Not sure where that box is. Our stuff is spread out between a storage unit, my parents garage, my parents dining room, lakehouse and the barn. Yesterday, I had looked in three locations before finally tracking down a pair of black heels (brown flipflops were not appropriate for a funeral).
We close on our new house today. I am very excited. But, I am more excited that we heard Baby Miller's heartbeat today. I am 13 weeks and feeling great. We go back July 28th for the ultrasound. Obviously, I get a lump in my throat just thinking about it.
I hope everyone has a great 4th! Happy Birthday Wes! I promise to find a camera before the weekend.

We Serve a Big God
Today I hope you will join me in praying for one of my favorite people, Joy Carpenter. You can check out her blog at www.joycarpenter.blogspot.com This wonderful Christian couple is a tremendous encouragement to me and many other people. In Bible Study and just daily conversation, Joy and Yancy are mentioned many times as people that continually praise God no matter what their circumstance. How I wish to maintain that attitude!

Messy Times

Can I tell you how ready I am to move? We rented our storage unit a month ago. For the last month we have been without: kitchen table, chairs, cable, books, dishes, plates (besides 2), pots & pans...So that we don't sound like idiots- we were planning to move out June 9th and plans changed at the last minute. Tomorrow we are moving to the lake house. We are moving into our new house on Wednesday! We have some renovations to do but I'm so excited!!

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Fathers Day (a day late)! While my intention was to post this yesterday, we decided to spend the night at the lake Saturday night and rushed (like all of us dressed in 15 minutes) to church Sunday morning. After a quick nap, we (with good help) packed and moved more stuff all afternoon!
Colt and Wes have so much fun together. I am so fortunate that Wes plays "Mr. Mom" everyday! He picks Colt up from daycare and they have "man time" until I get home. Wes also baths and feeds Colt while I cook dinner! Hes a great dad! Happy Fathers Day!

Keeping It Real

I had a great idea for this post. I turned 30 on Sunday and I wanted to share with you (in words & pictures) how much fun we had! Instead, I have been convicted and decided to do a "real" post. If I were honest, I would preface every post with a disclaimer like "What you are about to read is the part of my life that I want you to see. The pictures you see are the best out of 100 or so I took. Please don't be fooled into thinking that we have life figured out because our blog appears that we are carefree". I hate to think that I am deceiving you. In the past few days, I've learned a lot about life. Allow me to share with you...never stop praying for your heart's desire, God never stops listening; life is short, make sure your family knows you love them; if you can't be yourself in front of the ones you love, you don't know who you are; ages and birthdays are silly, live like you feel like living.
Okay, thats enough now get back to work.
